What They're Looking For.
Must Have
ACTIVE and MAINTAINED CBP PUBLIC TRUST, Bachelor's degree, THREE (3) or more years' of experience in cost estimating, financial analysis, or program cost support
Nice to Have
Experience supporting acquisition programs across multiple lifecycle phases, Experience working in Agile or Hybrid-Agile environments, Experience working with structured cost estimating methodologies and frameworks, Experience supporting government programs with defined cost reporting requirements, quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, Ability to communicate complex cost drivers and assumptions to non-technical stakeholders
What You'll Do.
Develop and maintain Life Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCEs)
Conduct cost analyses
Perform cost risk and uncertainty analyses
Analyze historical cost data
Support budget formulation
Prepare cost documentation
Develop and present cost briefings
Evaluate program alternatives
Conduct trade-off analyses
Participate in independent cost estimates
Contribute to cost estimating standards
Provide ongoing updates to estimates
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Collaborate with program managers, engineers, and financial analysts; Gather inputs and validate assumptions; Present cost briefings to stakeholders, leadership, and review boards
Communication Scope
Ability to communicate complex cost drivers and assumptions to non-technical stakeholders
