What You'll Do.

Day-to-day accounts payable functions

Ensuring all vendor invoices are paid in a timely manner

Monitoring and maintaining AP agings

Matching invoices with purchase orders and receiving

Processing and reviewing accounts payable transactions for proper coding

Reconciling vendor statements

Researching and correcting discrepancies

Interfacing with vendors and employees to troubleshoot and resolve accounts payable matters

Preparing daily batches of accounts payable invoices for review and posting

Processing weekly check disbursements

Following up with department heads on invoice approvals and vendors

Assisting with special projects (audits

yearly 1099 reporting)

Assisting with the Company’s expense reimbursement process

Reviewing and approving expense reports

Ensuring expense reports are in compliance with company policy

Resolving/following up on questionable expenses

Answering questions on how to use the company’s expense tracking system

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for day-to-day accounts payable functions. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Accounting and Accounts Payable and must be a self-starter and independent, detail-oriented team member. This team member is responsible for ensuring that all vendor invoices are paid in a timely manner and AP agings are monitored and maintained. This position will be working hybrid onsite 3 days a week in office. **Job Duties/Responsibilities:** 1\. Matches invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents; 2\. Process and review accounts payable transactions for proper coding and approvals; 3\. Reconciles vendor statements and research and correct discrepancies; 4\. Interfaces with vendors and employees to troubleshoot and resolve accounts payable matters in a timely manner; 5\. Prepares daily batches of accounts payable invoices for review and ultimate posting by the Sr. Manager, Accounting and Accounts Payable; 6\. Process weekly check disbursements for claims and accounts payable for various entities; 7\. Responsible for following up with department heads on invoice approvals and vendors as necessary. 8\.
