You must be a Texas resident to work for the Texas Workforce Commission or willing to relocate to Texas.  WHO YOU ARE: The ideal candidate will have good organizational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines.   WHAT YOU WILL DO: The Accounts Examiner I performs entry-level accounts examination and auditing work. Work involves examining and auditing operating reports and financial accounting records to ensure legal compliance with laws, rules, and regulations; and collecting taxes, fees, or penalties. Works under close supervision, with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.  YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO: - Review and audit employer accounting records for compliance with laws, rules, and regulations; including payroll, general ledgers, profit and loss statements and federal reports. - Prepare audit reports of findings, outline discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions. - Establish employment tax liability, open and close employer tax accounts and ensure employers are complying with TUCA. - Collect delinquent reports and taxes by contacting employers and audits forms from employers for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.  - Prepare employer quarterly reports or adjust as necessary and assist employers in preparation of tax forms.  - Perform a variety of skip tracing techniques and investigations. - Recommend collection action to the Stat
