Full Job Description

**International Airport of Heraklion, Crete S.A.** is currently looking for: **Accounting Specialist** **Responsibilities** * Books invoices in SAP4HANA by controlling expenses, receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling the necessary supporting documentation (POs, Agreements, Offers, etc.). * Maintains proper Accounting Ledgers by booking G/L entries (bank entries, depreciations, accruals, etc.). * Performs bank reconciliations monthly. * Prepares periodical Vendors’/Customers’ Ledger reconciliations. * Monitors the company’s Tax obligations (Double Taxation Forms, Royalties). * Supports the Accounting Manager during the month-end & Year-end closing. * Assists the Accounting Manager upon performance of any Audit (interim/fiscal/tax/VAT). * Maintains a proper and organized physical and digital record of all accounting documents. * Collaborates with other company’s Dpts. and ensures open communication channels with them. * Assists in other accounting related tasks, when requested. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field * Master’s degree (MSc) in Accounting/Finance is considered an asset * Minimum 3 years of working experience * Experience with high-volume or complex models * Knowledge of IFRS and GFRS * Experience with ERP, preferably SAP * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills * Excellent knowledge of English language, both oral and written **Competencies** * Strong analytical and critical thinking skills * High attention to detail
