What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial governance, Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Nice to Have
CPA and/or CIA certification, Experience with SSAE 16/SOC1 (formerly SAS70) or SOX-related design and review of control platforms, Experience in real estate accounting or property management accounting systems, Forensic data analysis experience, investigative accounting skills, Familiarity with Yardi and MRI software platforms or similar property management systems, Previous experience in a client services or consulting environment, Knowledge of real estate investment and financial reporting standards, Project management experience, Experience supporting external audits and regulatory compliance initiatives
