What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting or a related role, Proven experience owning the full month-end close process and general ledger in a high-growth company, Deep understanding of US GAAP, Hands-on experience applying ASC 606 to complex contracts, Hands-on experience with cloud-based accounting platforms and modern ERPs (e. g. , Quickbooks, Rillet, NetSuite, or equivalent), Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google comfortable working with large data sets and building reusable reporting, Experience with AP/AR automation, payroll platforms, and cash management, Self-starter who operates at both a strategic and hands-on level, with the drive to take initiatives from concept through execution, Clear and confident communicator, able to translate accounting concepts into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders, Naturally curious, highly collaborative, and comfortable operating in a fast-changing environment
Nice to Have
significant time in SaaS, technology, or high-growth environments preferred, Salesforce experience preferred, particularly for deal processing workflows
What You'll Do.
Own and continuously improve the monthly and quarterly close process
Prepare and review journal entries
and other recurring close activities
Manage the general ledger
and timely reconciliation of all accounts
Maintain and refine the chart of accounts to support scalable
audit-ready reporting
Own revenue recognition under ASC 606
Manage the order-to-cash cycle
and revenue reporting
Build and maintain Salesforce-to-ERP workflows to streamline deal processing and bookings reporting
including vendor onboarding
bill approval workflows
Oversee treasury and cash management
including daily cash position
Manage sales and use tax compliance across applicable jurisdictions
Lead preparation and execution of the annual financial statement audit
Research and document technical accounting positions
Establish and maintain internal controls and accounting policies
Drive automation and AI-enabled workflows across accounting
Establish best-in-class accounting processes
Build and lead the accounting team over time
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Partner with FP&A to ensure alignment between accounting outputs and management reporting; Partner with FP&A for cash forecasting; Serve as a hands-on operator and trusted partner across the business; Collaborate with leadership
Communication Scope
Clear and confident communicator; Able to translate accounting concepts into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders
Process & Methodology
Owning and improving close processes, including timelines, checklists, and reviewer cadence, Standing up scalable accounting processes from the ground up, Driving automation and AI-enabled workflows, Establishing best-in-class accounting processes, tools, and documentation, Building and leading the accounting team, Continuously improving financial infrastructure
