About the Role The Accounting Manager position is an accounting and financial professional with the work ethic, technical skills, and experience to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. This position reports to the Controller and works to manage a variety of month-end closing responsibilities and day-to-day operations. Strong accounting knowledge, process ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines are all key elements to this role. Responsibilities Support all aspects of accounting functions Supervises the accounting team, including assigning duties and ensuring work is done correctly and on time. Responsible for tracking performance and coaching when needed. Prepares yearly performance reviews. Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies. Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP guidelines Responsible for accounting management concerning taxes, reporting, general ledgers maintenance, and reconciliations, etc. Manage journal entries, invoices, etc., and reconcile accounts for monthly/yearly month-end close Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting, and comply with federal, state, and local financial requirements Research accounting issues for accuracy and taking corrective action when necessary Strengthen and grow relationships with clients by communicating with customers regarding past-due accounts Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts receivable process identifying areas of performance improvement Prepare analytical an
