**Job Title:** Accounting Manager **Position Type:** Full-Time, Remote **Working Hours:** U.S. Business Hours ### **About the Role** We’re hiring a highly detail-oriented and execution-driven Accounting Manager to oversee financial reporting, month-end close, payroll, and core accounting operations across complex client accounts. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in structured environments, takes ownership of financial accuracy, and can manage multi-entity, multi-location accounting workflows. This role is not focused on basic bookkeeping or data entry — it requires strong financial understanding, accrual-based accounting expertise, and the ability to handle complex accounting structures. ### **What You’ll Own** **Month-End Close & Financial Reporting** * Execute month-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness. * Prepare and maintain financial reports aligned with client requirements. * Ensure compliance with accounting standards and reporting timelines. * Maintain clean and structured workpapers. **Payroll & Employee Setup** * Process payroll accurately using systems such as Gusto or similar platforms. * Manage employee onboarding within payroll systems. * Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and documentation. **Core Accounting Operations** * Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. * Maintain general ledger accuracy across multiple entities. * Manage day-to-day accounting activities with strong attention to detail. **Sales Tax & Compliance** * Calculate and file U.S. state sales tax accurately and on time. * Maintain proper documentation for all filings and compliance activities. **Reporting, Analysis & Forecasting Support** * Build and maintain custom reports for business insights. * Support budgeting and forecasting processes. * Provide financial analysis and data visualization for decision-making. **Process Improvement & Documentation** * Review and document existing accounting processes. * Identify inefficiencies
