Who you are Metropolis is seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive Accounting Manager to lead our Corporate Accounting team. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day corporate accounting operations, drive the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, and ensure compliance with GAAP standards. As a key leader within the finance department, you will manage a team of accountants, spearhead process improvements, and partner with cross-functional leaders to provide accurate and actionable financial insights. What you'll do Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for corporate entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements Manage, mentor, and develop a team of general accountants; foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and high performance Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses (e.g., balance sheet and P&L fluctuations) Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting (SOX compliance where applicable) Ensure strict adherence to US GAAP and company policies Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, preparing schedules and provi
