Must Have
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, 7+ years accounting experience, Fluent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), business acumen with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, Attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality, communication and interpersonal skills, Operations and commercial literacy, Ability to deliver accurate and detailed reports in a timely manner
Nice to Have
HVAC or construction experience a plus, Experience with integrated ERP, Microsoft D365 a plus, CPA desired but not required
What You'll Do.
Supports Business Unit controller in the delivery of financial results and analysis
Coordinate accounting daily operations
Ensure AP and AR processes are completed timely and accurately
treasury and budgeting activity
Manage General ledger entries
account reconciliation
Perform Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
Manage Insurance activity
Owns key parts of the month end close and reconciliation processes
Monitor and analyze accounting data
Set up and monitor accounting KPIs
Regularly produce financial reports and statements
Adhere to proper accounting methods
policies and principles
hire and train new employees
Assist and oversee the annual audit
Assist and oversee the annual budget
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately
Support sales as needed with project and customer matters
Supports AR collection efforts
Work closely with the Business Unit Controller to follow Meriton accounting policies and maintain a control environment
Support the overall Meriton external audit
Ad hoc requests as necessary
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Supports Business Unit controller in the delivery of financial results and analysis for our Arizona and Nevada business units, including communications with BU leadership.; Work closely with the Business Unit Controller to follow Meriton accounting policies and maintain a control environment.; Support sales as needed with project and customer matters.
Communication Scope
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
