What They're Looking For.
Must Have
BAS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and payroll, Authorized to work for any employer in the U. S.
What You'll Do.
Own and scale financial operations
Manage the full payroll cycle
Oversee core accounting functions
Serve as a trusted financial partner to leadership
Drive the evolution and scale of Afero's financial infrastructure
Manage biweekly payroll cycles ensuring accuracy
Review and audit employee records and payroll records
including health insurance
Maintain payroll systems and generate reports
Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee queries
manage vendor payments
track incoming payments
and resolve billing discrepancies
Work with outside accounting and tax firms
Assist with the preparation of monthly
or annual financial statements and reports
Complete annual data census for various company plans
Pull reports as needed to support CFO and CEO
Oversee annual filing of 1099s
Assist with internal and external audits
Reconcile corporate card charges on a monthly basis
Ensure transactions follow internal policies and tax regulations
