What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, three to five years’ related experience in a public or corporate accounting environment, Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statement preparation, Experience working with general ledger systems, GAAP research, writing technical accounting memos, organizational and follow-through skills, performing work accurately with attention to detail, Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust to shifting priorities, while meeting deadlines, Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions, Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written

Nice to Have

CPA licensure or candidacy, Public accounting experience

What You'll Do.

Ensure accuracy of financial and regulatory reporting

Process and analyze general ledger

Prepare or review journal entries and reconciliations

or manage internal controls

Develop and maintain analytics

Provide technical guidance and research

Assist in preparing quarterly and annual reports

Assist in preparing regulatory reporting

Take ownership of problem identification

Implement solution implementation

Identify and implement process improvements

Mentor other team members

Assist team manager with training needs

Communicate conceptual accounting concepts

Peer review workpapers

Peer review journal entries

Peer review technical accounting memos

Peer review reconciliations

Communicate on behalf of the team

Serve as primary point of contact for external auditors

Coordinate and manage annual audit process

Perform all duties and maintain all standards

Maintain company policies

Maintain internal controls

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Work with others within the organization; Work with external auditors; Serve as a representative on work groups; Communicate on behalf of the team with individuals throughout the organization; Communicate with executive management; Coordinate and manage all phases of the annual audit process
