Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field, Minimum of 3–5 years of accounting experience, Knowledge of cost accounting and operational accounting practices, Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, Ability to handle confidential financial information, communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have
Experience in mining, construction, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments, Full platform Workday ERP system experience
What You'll Do.
managing financial records
accounting functions related to coal mining operations
ensuring accurate financial reporting
compliance with accounting standards
analysis of production and operational costs
monitoring financial performance
support strategic decision-making
Assist in the preparation of the month end close process
recording of mine costs and supplemental mine cost schedules
Responsible for the accounting of company-wide trade receivables/revenue transactions
Responsible for maintaining a high level of communication between the company and its customers
Responsible for assisting with the preparation of cash forecast updates
and reporting on coal inventory values
Assist with the annual financial statement audit and other requests from internal and external auditors
Responsible for maintaining detailed supporting documentation as required by internal Sarbanes-Oxley compliance guidelines
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
works closely with mine management, sales and marketing team, purchasing, and corporate finance teams; Act as the accounting liaison between the sales and finance teams; Assist in the review and implementation of sales contracts alongside the sales team; Communicate with co-workers, management, and others in a courteous and professional manner
