and reporting on coal inventory values
Assist with the annual financial statement audit and other requests from internal and external auditors
Responsible for maintaining detailed supporting documentation as required by internal Sarbanes-Oxley compliance guidelines

About the Role: As a senior accountant, you would be responsible for managing financial records, reporting, budgeting, cost analysis, and accounting functions related to coal mining operations. This role supports operational management by ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and analysis of production and operational costs. The accountant works closely with mine management, sales and marketing team, purchasing, and corporate finance teams to monitor financial performance and support strategic decision-making. ## **Key Responsibilities** * Assist in the preparation of the month end close process, including journal entries and allocations, variance analysis, and balance sheet account reconciliations.
