Must Have
Bachelor's degree with a concentration in business or accounting, 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, Intermediate knowledge of U. S. GAAP, Experience or exposure to all areas of accounting including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash/revenue, fixed assets, accruals, reserves, inventory valuation, and intercompany eliminations, Understanding of the principles of inventory manufacturing processes, retail sales processes, sales and use tax, and public company audit compliance, Experience working in a highly computerized environment and processing financial transactions using an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and/or accounting software, Advanced Microsoft Excel proficient within overall Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint), Professional written and verbal communication with multiple levels and departments, Analytical, detail-oriented, and honest, Background Check Required
Nice to Have
CPA or CPA Candidate preferred, Public accounting experience, as well as corporate accounting experience preferred, Manufacturing and/or Retail experience preferred, Epicor experience preferred

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to provide month-end close support, balance sheet reconciliation, and process improvement in line with TerrAscend’s standard operating procedures. ## Responsibilities Assists in driving the Month-End Close process for multiple entities. Participates in daily accounting department tasks. Prepares and/or reviews appropriate journal entries and accruals. Ensures completeness and accuracy of all assigned accounts, databases, and files, including the completion and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and income statement accounts. Collaborate with the accounting team, and other internal departments to design, document, implement, and monitor processes that establish controls, ownership, and accountability of involved parties related to inventory management. Work closely with accounts payable department, the purchasing department, and inventory management stakeholders concerning receiving issues, and the implementation of systems affecting inventory processing. Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested. Responds timely to inquiries from external and internal customers. Work closely with the regional accounting team, parent company accounting group, external auditors, and tax accountants during quarter and year end close to support reporting & regulatory requirements and provide financial commentary and supporting schedules as requested.
