You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world. # **A Day in the Life** Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. * Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclassifications, and adjustments across multiple entities in accordance with Medtronic accounting policies and applicable accounting standards. * Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of financial results. * Perform balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and financial statement integrity, including investigation and resolution of variances. * Execute and review P&L and balance sheet reclassifications to ensure proper accounting treatment and alignment with financial reporting requirements. * Analyze financial results (P&L and balance sheet) and provide insights to support business decisions and management reporting. * Prepare and deliver financial reports and analyses to stakeholders, highlighting key variances, trends, and areas requiring attention. * Calculate, prepare, and file indirect taxes (e.g., GST/HST, sales taxes), including related journal entries, payments, and reconciliations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. * Reconcile tax accounts and support internal and external audits related to tax filings and financial reporting. * Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (e.g., FP&A, Payroll, Trade, Shared Services, and Operations) to resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy of financial data. * Maintain documentation in compliance with internal controls and company policies. * Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, standardization, and automation within accounting processes. * Support internal and external audits
