What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Accounting degree or completed your 3-year SAICA article as an Accountant Trainee, accounting experience, ideally with exposure to re/insurance or financial services environment, understand basic accounting principles, comfortable working with IFRS and relevant GAAPs, confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, fluent in English and Afrikaans—both written and verbal
What You'll Do.
maintain accurate accounting records and prepare unaudited financial statements for a portfolio of re/insurance clients
assist with payment processes
and the preparation of materials for board
and committee meetings
support client onboarding through CDD/KYC reviews
and workflow management across multiple re/insurance structures
coordinate day‑to‑day operations with the Principal
including communication with external consultants and service providers
ensure all work meets quality
and risk standards while knowing when to escalate issues and using feedback to continuously grow
