Looking for Philippines-based candidates Job Role: Accountant Compensation range: $2,500 AUD - $3,500 AUD / Monthly Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home. Who The Client Is: A growing Australian accounting firm that supports a diverse range of businesses with accounting, tax, compliance, and advisory services. Operating as a fully remote team, they value trust, quality work, strong client relationships, and people who can work independently while contributing to a collaborative culture. Role Overview: We're looking for an experienced Accountant who can hit the ground running on annual accounts, tax returns, and BAS preparation; and who brings more than just processing capability. You think critically, ask good questions, and take ownership of your work. You'll be embedded directly with the Citrine team, working as a long-term contractor and growing alongside the business over time. Key Responsibilities: * Complete income tax returns across a range of entity types * Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) * Manage client files within Xero and Xero Practice Manager (XPM) * Identify issues, flag anomalies, and proactively communicate with internal stakeholders * Maintain accurate and organised client records in line with firm standards * Contribute to process improvements and bring a solutions-oriented mindset **Requirements** **Required Skills and Qualifications:** * 3–4+ years of experience in a public accounting or advisory firm * Strong working knowledge
