Ensures month-end closing deadlines are met timely; Ensures processes are met timely; Ensures audit requests are addressed timely; Ensures no outstanding issues for audits

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

3+ years of accounting experience, Proficiency in spreadsheet software, Fluency in written and spoken French, Fluency in written and spoken Arabic

Nice to Have

Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO), Experience working on USG-funded projects, Working knowledge of English

What You'll Do.

Perform accounting functions

and analyze financial data

Review and consolidate Country Office financials

Process and record journal entries

Manage cash receipts and field cash

Process wire payments

Maintain general ledger accounts

Produce accounting reports

Participate in accounting projects

Assist in system upgrades

Assist in process changes

Perform cash management activities

Prepare payment vouchers

Process vendor payments

Maintain payment documentation

Complete Country Office financial reports

Examine financial statements

Maintain subsidiary ledgers

Assist in financial analysis projects

Close accounting records

Reconcile sub-recipients

Review inter-department cash requests

Support audit requests

Prepare field office risk assessment reports

Prepare reports and statements

Research and analyze substantive issues

Suggest improvements to accounting systems

Suggest improvements to accounting processes
