Prepare and review monthly internal financial reports (e.
SGA, legal P&L, forecasts, etc.)., Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and transfers., Support capital expenditure (CapEx) approvals and pull fixed asset reports from SAP., Prepare/post monthly journal entries and perform month-end close activities., Prepare, review, and reconcile a number of balance sheet accounts, identifying risk and potential write-offs or release to the P&L., Daily Treasury functions including setting up wires, cash reporting and forecasting., Complete monthly and quarterly reporting packages for US head office (e.
SEC reporting)., Support the annual budget and forecasting process in the stated areas of responsibility., Internal and external audit support., Implement external audit recommendations., Assist in special projects/ad hoc requests from business as needed., Backup for Tax Consultant in matters related to commodity & realty taxes, insurance, and statistics Canada filings., Problem solving and issue escalation as needed., All other duties as required.

Cardinal Health Canada, with over 1,400 employees nationwide, is an essential link in the Canadian healthcare supply chain, providing over 70,000 products to healthcare facilities and medical professionals across the country. We are currently seeking an Accountant to add to our team in Vaughan, ON. This is a hybrid role reporting to our head-office 2 days a week. Reporting directly to the Manager, Accounting, you will bring strong accounting and analysis experience to this team and will be a critical part of our month-end/year-end closing activities. You will partner closely with other departments and service organizations to contribute to the success of the company.
