What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, Proven track record of 2-5+ years of success in both new business development and account management roles, Excellent understanding of the K–12 education landscape, including funding, leadership structures, and instructional priorities, Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders, including Superintendents, Directors, and Curriculum Leaders, Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to different audiences and leadership styles, Resilient, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, Ability to think strategically and act consultatively, not just transactionally, Willingness and ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend key events, Skilled at navigating leadership transitions and maintaining continuity in relationships, Ability to balance the mindset of a hunter with the empathy and insight of a trusted advisor, Proven discovery and consultative selling skills that lead to long-term partnerships and growth, Experience managing complex sales cycles within school districts, Passion for literacy and educational equity, aligned with our mission to “create opportunity for every student through the power of literacy”
