Full Job Description
**Energy Efficiency Account Manager** **Location: Maryland | Field Based / Remote** **Job Description:** We are seeking an Account Manager with a desire for energy efficiency to take a significant role in the implementation of programs that will deliver and expand our offerings in the state of Maryland. You will be responsible for managing a large pipeline of existing projects and will also be responsible for increasing new customer adoption. Outside sales or financial background working in one of the following sectors is preferred: industrial processing, local, federal, state government or national retail accounts including commercial real estate, hospitality, and agribusiness. **What You Will Be Doing:** * Work in support of various utility-sponsored programs that encourage energy efficiency in the commercial and industrial markets * Responsible for identifying and recruiting customer participation within energy efficiency programs * Develop a data-driven outreach strategy to recruit and retain new and existing customers * Prospect, identify, and qualify potential energy efficiency upgrades for customers * Increase customer awareness of financial benefits from implementing energy conservation measures * Cultivate and develop new business through long-term relationships with professional organizations and trade allies * Maintain knowledge of state and federal funding programs * Track state/local and national energy policies **Minimum Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, Finance, or related field and 2+ years of industry experience OR * High School Diploma and 6+ years of industry experience AND - 1+ year of outside sales or business development experience * Valid driver’s license and ability to pass Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check **Preferred Qualifications:** * Proven success in outside sales or business development * Strong follow-up and closing skills * Energy efficiency background with knowledge of building mechanic
