What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Property and Casualty License from state of domicile, High school diploma or equivalent, Minimum 5 years account management experience in the insurance industry with a focus on commercial lines of coverage, analytical and mathematical skills, PowerPoint and presentation skills for both in-person and teleconference/webinar sessions, In-depth understanding of advanced commercial lines of coverage with the ability to advise clients concerning their complex insurance needs, Excellent written and verbal communications skills, Proficient skills in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel and Word), Must be computer literate with the ability to learn new software applications, Intermediate to advanced knowledge of insurance markets, products, services, insurance ratings and underwriting procedures, Must have a valid driver’s license, ability to travel to client sites, reliable source of transportation
Nice to Have
insurance designations (e.g. AINS, CIC, CPCU, ARM), Four-year degree, Bilingual (Spanish/English)
What You'll Do.
Manage client relationships
Provide strategic advice on coverage
Advise on business needs
Ensure insurance program aligns with goals
Stay knowledgeable of insurance advances
Serve as main point of contact for clients
Address client inquiries
Provide guidance on coverage changes
Educate clients on policy exclusions
Partner in strategic development of insurance plans
Act as field underwriter
Assess and bind coverage
Manage remarketing of renewals
Oversee preparation of client proposals
Ensure timely and accurate quotations
Communicate billing options
Prepare insurance summaries
Assist clients in submitting claims
Facilitate prompt response from carriers
Expedite claim settlements
Conduct policy reviews during renewals
Verify accuracy of policies
Ensure corrections are executed
Communicate audit discrepancies
Review cancellation requests
Attempt to retain client accounts
Stay informed about industry developments
Recommend process improvements
Identify and resolve client service issues
Adopt innovative technology
Deliver best-in-class client service
Perform other projects and duties
