The Academic Intervention Teacher is dedicated to supporting students with the highest academic needs across all grades and subjects. This position focuses on improving student outcomes by providing targeted interventions to ensure academic readiness and success in core content areas. The teacher will collaborate closely with classroom teachers, school staff, and families to develop individualized learning strategies that enhance student performance and support overall school improvement. ## Direct Student Support Provide intensive, small-group, and one-on-one interventions for students identified as having critical academic needs. Focus on core subject areas to improve reading, writing, math, science, and other content-specific skills. Implement evidence-based teaching strategies to address individual learning gaps and promote academic success. Support students in understanding key concepts, improving study skills, and developing self-confidence in their learning. ## Assessment & Progress Monitoring Assess students’ academic strengths and areas for growth using formal and informal assessment tools. Develop individualized learning plans that outline specific goals, progress monitoring, and measurable outcomes. Regularly track and report student progress to inform instructional decisions and adapt interventions as needed. ## Collaboration & Communication Work closely with classroom teachers to align interventions with grade-level curriculum and instructional goals.
