Must Have

Bachelor's degree, 2 years of related experience, Advise students concerning degree planning, academic enhancements, academic support services, academic policy issues, and graduation requirements, Refer students to appropriate resources such as counseling, academic success, financial aid, etc., Assist with new student orientation programming, Present at orientation and other new or prospective student events, Participate in recruitment and retention activities, Legally authorized to work in the U. S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship

Nice to Have

Bachelor’s degree in a liberal arts or science area or one of the college’s curricular areas, Master’s degree in higher education, counseling, advising, education or a liberal arts or science area, Experience advising, teaching, counseling students or working directly with clients/customers, Experience using workplace technology or educational platforms (i. e. , Workday, Outlook, Excel, Canvas, Navigate), Experience teaching or conducting large group workshops, presentations, seminars, or meetings, Coordinate and advise learning communities and peer mentors

Refer students to appropriate resources such as counseling

Assist with new student orientation programming and will likely teach an orientation course.

Present at orientation and other new or prospective student events.

Participate in recruitment and retention activities.

May coordinate and advise learning communities and peer mentors.

Participate in departmental and curriculum committees.
