What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelors degree, Minimum of 1-3 years of related work experience, Ability to articulate components of effective academic advising demonstrated use of proactive and/or innovative approaches to working with college students which resulted in positive outcomes in persistence and retention
Nice to Have
Masters Appreciative Advising certification and/or training, experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and Salesforce or other advising tools
What You'll Do.
Counsel students on academic advisement
Monitor student progress from admission to graduation
Conduct individual advising sessions
Develop personalized degree plans
Serve as liaison between student and partner offices
Proactively communicate with students
Collect and analyze student data
Assist with coverage of student files
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Work collaboratively with faculty; Work closely with faculty, staff, and campus resources; Assist team members with coverage of student files
Communication Scope
Proactively communicating to students via email, text/chat, phone, in person meetings and virtual meetings; Communicating with students via all methods of available communication
