What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Legally authorized to work in Canada, Minimum Grade 12 education or GED equivalent, 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate is required, Experience with operating rail-loading equipment, Previous Operating experience in Refinery or related field, Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in an industrial setting, Previous experience working around railcars, tracks and switches, Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative and attention to detail, maintain a Class 5 driver's license, satisfactory driving record
Nice to Have
Industrial railway locomotive/railcar mover Operations experience is an asset
What You'll Do.
Safe operation of Rail-Loading operating area
Operation of all types of equipment
control panel consoles
Documentation of daily activities
Movement and spotting of railcars
Perform Preloading inspections of railcars
Loading railcars with molten asphalt and other commodities
Following daily instructions and safety requirements
Preparation of rail equipment for maintenance
Ensure work is done safely and timely
Complete required training
Act as First Response in emergency situations
Comply with HS&E and ISO 9001 requirements

Worker Type: Employee Job Post End Date: 06/08/2026 ** _About this opportunity:_** Under the direction of the Back-up day-shift supervisor, the 3rd Loader is accountable for the safe operation of the Rail-Loading operating area. This includes operation of all types of equipment, pumps, valves, and control panel consoles. Additionally, the Third Loader is responsible for documentation of daily activities. This successful individual will work with other Offsites personnel and various LR Departments when needed, as well as the CN and CP Train Master.
