What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree or above in engineering, project management, operations, logistics, supply chain or related field, Experience in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or a related field, Business English skills, both verbal and written
Nice to Have
Experience in operational excellence, continuous improvement, or process improvement roles, Experience that includes analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, Experience running metrics reports, analyzing data to identify problems and using data analysis to generate and explain metrics, Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma, Experience managing and negotiating contracts and vendor relationships, Experience presenting ideas to various levels of an organization to gain support for initiatives, Master's degree or above in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing, Advanced proficiency in written and verbal local language

Establish and lead site-level performance management

Establish bi-directional exchange of support with senior network
Coordinate and align 3PL site with Amazon fulfillment
Maintain knowledge of hazmat storage regulations
Track and secure implementation of regulatory changes
Ensure hazmat licensing processes
Identify and escalate critical issues
Author comprehensive escalation reports
Build strong relationships with 3PL provider leadership
Build strong relationships with Amazon's internal leadership
Build strong relationships with the broader provider network

Amazon is seeking an experienced 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) Manager fluent in German to oversee the strategic operations and performance of our critical third-party logistics provider network. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring our 3PL partners consistently meet our high standards across key areas such as operational performance, cost management, continuous improvement, change management, network integration, escalation processes, provider relationship management and regulatory compliance. This position requires up to 40% travel to 3PL sites and Amazon facilities, increasing to 80% during peak operational periods.
