Must Have
State approved Tool & Die Journeyman’s card within 6 months, Experience and knowledge to effectively manage and direct all Tool Room related activities, Proven tooling background in both new tool construction and tool maintenance, Proven experience with project development and management through successful completion, Valid lift truck operators license or successfully complete lift truck training
Nice to Have
Minimum of two years’ experience in the Tool Room department
What You'll Do.
Supervise and manage all scheduled and unscheduled die
Assist with die repair and other special facility
Follow up on assignments
Train new apprentices
Collaborate with facility departments
Provide input for production operations
Provide direction for production operations
Identify training needs of personnel in Tool Room
Maintain training needs of personnel in Tool Room
Upgrade training needs of personnel in Tool Room
Maintain documentation to establish trends
Monitor cost effectiveness
Aggressively reduce rework
Aggressively reduce scrap
Maintain quality standards
Maintain production standards
Encourage productive teamwork within the department
Maintain productive teamwork within the department
Operate other equipment to perform Tool Room duties
Assist in selection of Tool Room personnel
Assist in qualification of Tool Room personnel
Assist in development of Tool Room personnel
Perform Tool Room tasks as assigned by Supervisor
