What You'll Achieve.
Ensure all product meets quality standards as set out by Culinary leadership
Industry & Context.
Work in a camp setting, 2 week on/2 week off rotation, Travel provided to and from site locations from designated locations in the Thunder Bay, Dryden and surrounding area, Ability to handle physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders/stairs, extended standing/walking/squatting/kneeling/sitting, repetitive hand work, working with arms at full length and above shoulder height
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Ability to commit to a 2 week on/2 week off rotation, Must have valid government issued photo ID for travel to site, Must have the ability to complete a Criminal Background Check, Ability to handle the following physical demands: Lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 lbs, Climb ladders or stairs, Stand, walk, squat, kneel or sit according to task for extended periods of time, Perform repetitive hand work requiring full use of both hands, Perform work with arms at full length, Work with arms above shoulder height
Nice to Have
Large-scale cooking in camp settings, banquet halls and/or hotels is a asset, Current Food Safe certification is preferred
What You'll Do.
Preparing the dinner menu
Responsible for all starch and vegetable items required for the menu
Assist the First Cook in the preparation of all menu items as needed
and presentation specifications
Can be responsible for preparing and serving hot breakfast
Replenish desserts and condiment stations as required
Assist in the cleanliness and maintenance of the kitchen and serving areas
Can be responsible for assisting with baking
Practice correct food handling guidelines and storage procedures
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Meet daily with the First Cook to discuss menu preparation and production strategy; Work with the First Cook to ensure that all product meets quality standards
