What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience working as an industrial painter in a manufacturing setting, Previous experience painting sheet metal, Experience using a spray gun and pressure pot, Ability to work independently, Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, Ability to read and interpret SOPs, Must be able to carry and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 25 pounds, Must be able to distinguish colors
Nice to Have
Completion of college/vocational or technical training in a related field is an asset
What You'll Do.
Provide required materials to each department
Identify potential safety hazards
Select or mix appropriate paint
Read and interpret SOPs
Inspect surfaces for contamination prior to coating
Identify methods to reduce exposure to hazardous chemicals
Tend and operate equipment to spray products
Perform body work and remediation of sheet metal
Prepare and apply stencils and decals
Clean equipment and perform routine maintenance
Comply with company policies and procedures
Adhere to health and safety rules
Use personal protective equipment
