S. citizen, DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 or higher (Sec+ CE or equivalent), Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an Engineering field of study with 5+ years of experience, Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in an Engineering field of study with 7+ years of experience, High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 12+ years of experience

Experience with Multicasts, Current or recent experience with tactical satellite communications, Cisco CCNA certification

Full Job Description

Sigma Defense is seeking a qualified **Field Engineering Technician** to join our team in support of testing, integration, training, and maintenance for our Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (AISR) Data Transport – Block II Tactical Relay program. The selected candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, operation, and training related to the Block II Tactical Relay family of systems. Key skills required for this role include an in-depth understanding of Satellite Modems, Redundancy Switches, and their associated cables and interconnects; Up Converters, Down Converters, High Power Amplifiers (HPAs), Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs), and Low Noise Blocks (LNBs); Waveguide components (rigid, flexible, and elliptical) including joints and connections; Intermediate Frequency (IF) cables and connections; Antennas, Antenna motors, Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPAs), Antenna Control Units (ACUs), along with related cabling and interconnects; Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS); Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) units (if applicable); and Generators (if applicable). _**Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled: Sigma Defense Systems is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
